The top 16 individuals are set for the Perry Chamber of Commerce’s Big Boom Bracket Battle, as the fundraising begins for the 2025 fireworks drive.  Perry Athletics made up a good chunk of the initial 33 representatives.  Perry athletes Amy Diaz, Geren Kenney, and Quin Mahler-Moreno were all apart of the initial group of candidates.  The head swimming, Jean Dowd, and football, Josh Vannornam, coaches were also in the first round.  Assistant coaches from football, Jackson VanKirk, and wrestling, Michael Peterson, were also nominated.  That doesn’t account for numerous other graduates, who were once athletes.

The current Sweet Sixteen portion has seen Quin Mahler-Moreno, Jackson VanKirk, and Michael Peterson all advance.  Donations for this round will be accepted until Tuesday at noon.  To donate, click here.
