An athlete from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Track and Field team is gearing up for the first meet of the 2025 season, as she recognizes the areas her coaches have helped her in.

ADM senior Jada Grove, who runs the 100 meters, 200 meters, plus the 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays, tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she’s been giving lots of opportunities to get better in the offseason when she’s not playing soccer, which coincides with track and field. Grove reveals that the beginning of her races have dramatically improved over the years.

“Block starts, that’s something that I definitely needed to improve on, like coming from my freshmen year to my senior year now, that’s definitely been a big help for me.”

Grove loves chatting on the bus with her teammates while they’re traveling to a meet, and says that gets her in the right mindset. The first meet for the ADM girls is tomorrow at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls for the Dickinson Relays at 2pm.
