Perry girls soccer will be under new leadership in 2025. Cesar Hernandez steps in as the new voice. The former Bluejay soccer player will take over a struggling girl’s program. The Jayettes haven’t finished above .500 since 2018. He replaces Bo Schatzberg, who went 4-14 last year.
Cesar played for long time boy’s coach Gary Overla and graduated in 2004. The Perry native is hopeful to have a strong first season and wants to bring a family atmosphere to Jayettes soccer. “ Family oriented, right so we’re going to be treated as a family in the team. Grow as a team as a family together. Also, hard work we’re going to put out the work so we can become the better player that we need to be and the better team that we need to be.”
The Jayettes begin practice on Monday, March 17.
