District assignments were released for high school football last week. In this 5 part series, we will look at the 5 District games Perry will play this fall. Part 2 will feature a team the Bluejays shared a District with the last two years.
Perry football will meet Atlantic for a third straight year this fall. The two clubs will share a District for a second straight cycle. The Trojans have dominated the past two decades against the Bluejays winning six of the seven games including the last three years. Perry played their closes District game of last season with Atlantic. The Trojans collected the 35-14 win. The game against Atlantic was one of the more enjoyable District games for Coach Vannornam last year. “That was probably one of the most fun games I’ve had. Obviously, we didn’t come out on top. One more of the competitive games we played all year long. I think it was a fun game to watch and you know really see what the kids can actually do. Now getting them to believe that.”
The Bluejays and Trojans share the 3A District 6 with Carroll, Creston, Greene County and Harlan.
