Greene County ISU Extension is wrapping up its series of Ag Coffees with the final edition happening this Friday.
Greene County Extension Farm Management Specialist Alexis Stevens is going to be the guest speaker on the main topic of “Safeguarding Iowa Agriculture with Cybersecurity and AI” that will be held at the Extension Office in Jefferson on Friday from 9:30-11am. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she will be covering with attendees how to understand cybersecurity in agriculture, using artificial intelligence (AI) apps in farming, best practices for cybersecurity, AI driven innovations, followed by an interactive question and answer session.
Stevens points out how AI is increasingly being used within the agriculture industry.
“A lot of companies are already using AI in their technologies, so you may not even know that it’s happening. But a lot of the big ag companies are integrating that technology already. So it’s working with those companies to understand, ‘How do I use this technology?’ So if you have that in your tractor, for instance, how can I get that information out of the tractor and use that to increase my profitability or to increase my yields.”
This program is free and open to the public.
