The Stuart People for Active Library Service (PALS) are hosting another guest speaker on Saturday, and this time, it’s someone that everyone in Stuart should know.
PALS members Carol Brewer and Kathy Johnson tell Raccoon Valley Radio that Stuart local Bob Cook will be making a presentation on a personal passion project of his, digitizing local history. Johnson shares what the “Stuart Area Digital Archives” presentation will be about.
“Not everybody kept their old annuals from when they were in school, and this will provide you (with) plenty of fun pictures and things to look back on if you went to any area right around here, high school. I think there’s Stuart, Menlo and there’s Dexfield.”
Brewer and Johnson mention that Cook has been working to go through collections of local history, and is still digitizing articles, pictures and other items he finds to add to this project. Cook’s presentation will be on Saturday at the Stuart Public Library, starting at 10am, and is free for the public to attend.
