The Iowa Association of Track Coaches holds high school Indoor State Track & Field Meets today and tomorrow. Both events are inside the Lied Student Recreation Center in Ames on the Iowa State Campus. The boys are today and the girls compete tomorrow.
Boys’ head coach Chad Morton and girls’ head coach Derek Merk had both squads at UNI earlier this week for the A.D. Dickinson Relays, which was a one class event with schools of all sizes competing at the same time, and there was not team score.
The meets from the IATC today and tomorrow will be scored according to class size. Part of each day will have the 1A and 2A schools at the same time, but scored separately. The 3A and 4A programs will be together, but scored separately.
Paton-Churdan will have some events for boys in today’s meet. That includes high jumper Trevon Keely. The sophomore was the Class 1A State Meet runner-up last May.
