trevon-keely

Paton-Churdan girls and boys high school track & field coach Kory Jeschke talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the March 14 Iowa Association of Track Coaches Indoor State Meet in Ames. The action took place on March 13 inside the Lied Student Recreation Center in Ames on the Iowa State Campus and P-C sophomore Trevon Keely won the Class 1A high jump and was seventh in the long jump.

Not only had Keely never competed in an indoor meet before, his coach had not been inside the Lied Center previously, and the coach talked about that. “I love to go to new places and had not been in there before. It was a little hectic getting ready because that was a little early for us to start practice and try to prepare for this meet. Then, we had snow days the week before, so there wasn’t a lot of preparation, but he did great!”

Jeschke told Raccoon Valley Radio he added the Buena Vista University Indoor Meet on March 24 in Storm Lake to the schedule. The coach plans on taking a few events to that meet.
