The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The board had a conversation about a letter sent by the Linn Township Trustees and Clerk asking to change how the trustees and the clerk are appointed. The letter would allow the Dallas County Board of Supervisors to appoint trustees and the clerk, whereas right now, it is up to the Linn Township Board of Supervisors to decide. Supervisor Brad Golightly said that he wasn’t quite sure if he wanted to be in charge of picking members for the township and opted to bring up the matter at a later date. The board decided to table the discussion to a future meeting.
The only other items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution to appoint Al Lorenzen to the Dallas County Board of Adjustment with a term that ends on December 31st, 2029 and a lease agreement between Dallas County and Dwight and Lorraine Best for a purchase of property located at 25713 Highway #6 in Adel, Iowa.
