An athlete on the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball team reached a special milestone during the 2024-25 season.

ADM junior Trey Bryte finished with 172 assists on the year, which according to Head Coach Trevor Mickelson, is now the most in the school’s history. The old season record was set by Pat Poston with 163 in the 2007-08 year. Mickelson adds that Bryte was able to hit the single-game record of 13 assists in the game versus Boone on January 10th. Bryte appeared in all 27 games for the Tigers this year, scoring 349 points, grabbed 182 rebounds, and had 17 blocks.

He was named Unanimous First Team All-Conference in the Raccoon River as well as Second Team All-State for Class 3A. Bryte will return for his senior season in 2025-26 as ADM finished this past year with a 22-5 record, making it to the state tournament for the first time in 13 years, ultimately falling to Clear Lake in the semifinals on March 13th.
