Time is running out to purchase tickets to attend the 8th Annual BOOST Bash in Jefferson.
The Bringing Optimism and Opportunities to Students and Teachers (BOOST) of Greene County has brought in over $460,000 in seven years and according to the committee, every classroom in the Greene County School District has been impacted and the students have been given extraordinary experiences with their support. The final day to purchase a ticket to attend the event on April 5th at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds is today.
BOOST Member Steve Karber talks about why he enjoys being a part of the successful non-profit organization.
“I think the thing that gives me the most joy is the happiness that I see in the teacher’s faces at these events. They’re so happy to be supported by their community and everybody’s having fun doing it. It is really a fun night. We know it’s for our kids’ education, we’re all enthused about that. Because of funding issues, we have to support our schools ourselves.”
Single tickets are now $35 and must be purchased online by clicking here. BOOST Member Tracy Deal says the online auction will begin March 31st as another way for people to contribute that are not able to attend their April 5th event.
