The City of Jefferson has announced its annual two-day cemetery cleanup days.

Public Works Director Dave Morlan says prior to when city crews start their process of maintaining the two cemeteries in town, individuals and family members that want to remove anything that is not in a permanent vase at a gravesite in either the Jefferson City Cemetery or the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery can do so from this coming Monday and Tuesday. Morlan notes that after that, city crews will clean up the rest.

“They’ll go out and anything not in a permanent vases and stuff, they’ll go out and clean that stuff up and get things ready to go for the mowing season.”

Morlan thanks everyone for their cooperation to help get both cemeteries looking nice for the upcoming season and helping city crews as they begin their maintenance season of the cemeteries as well.
