Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be holding their annual STEM Fest on Saturday.

Program Director Shelby Van Horn shares that businesses and entities like the Iowa Department of Transportation, Iowa Corn, the Guthrie County Master Gardeners and many more will be presenting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics topics related to their fields. She mentions this is something that they do every year to bring different kinds of STEM topics to the youth of Guthrie County besides the events they provide. Raccoon Valley Radio will also be at the STEM Fest, bringing radio equipment for children to interact with, and even do recordings and learn about the editing software that is used to produce news and sportscasts, as well as ads. The event will be held from 9-11am Saturday at Guthrie Center Elementary.
