A section of roads within the Perry community will be blocked off tomorrow for drivers to be aware of.

According to Marketing and Engagement Coordinator Chris Cohea, 2nd Street from Willis Avenue to Warford Street is planning on being closed tomorrow for concrete repair of a water leak patch. Public Works Director Josh Wuebker tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the Water Department had a leak during the winter, which was fixed, but he explains that city officials couldn’t pour new concrete with the frost on the ground. He indicates that now that the surface isn’t wet anymore, the new concrete will be able to stick.

Wuebker details the spot of the leak is located in the alleyway between Hotel Pattee and 2nd Street. He shares that crews will begin working tomorrow at 7am and is estimating it to be done around noon. Wuebker asks that residents be patient with the closure and to avoid congesting the area.
