The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

County Engineer Al Miller and Assistant Engineer Andy Case, from the Secondary Roads Department, gave an overview of the Five-Year Construction Plan. Case highlighted that the department is looking to complete 17 road projects between 2026 and 2030. The department presented the board with the fiscal year 2026 budget as Miller acknowledged that $3,052,444.84 will be spent during that year and no action was taken by the board following the review. Additional items relating to the Secondary Roads Department that were approved included a weed notice between Dallas County and the Iowa Department of Agricultural and Land Stewardship, and a River Oaks Storm Sewer Rehabilitation Phase Three Engineering Design Services Agreement with AECOM.

Next, several other items on the agenda that were approved pertained to a resolution for revenue bond service fund establishment for renovations to the Dallas County Courthouse, administration building, the evidence storage building and the firing range; next, a resolution for the Local Option Sales and Service Tax debt service reserve fund establishment in the amount of $25,220,000 was approved; along with a National Public Health Week Proclamation with the Dallas County Health Department for April 7th-13th, an amendment for the Central Iowa Workforce Development shared liability agreement between Dallas, Boone, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Polk, Story, and Warren Counties, and a resolution to accept the amended official depositories as presented was also approved.
