
Former Perry girls soccer players are continuing their careers as they suit up for the Iowa Demon Hawks. The club is based out of Des Moines and are apart of the Major Arena Soccer League Women. Natalie Martinez and Magley Orellana have both helped lead the Demon Hawks to a postseason berth. The 2019 and 2020 graduates of Perry just joined the semi-pro team for their inaugural season. The Des Moines based team went 5-5 and secured the final spot in the playoffs. Martinez has appeared in 7 games and accounted for 9 points. Her 4 assists on the season is tied for 8th in the Great Lakes Division.
The playoffs begin on Friday and the entire tournament will take place this weekend in Des Moines. The six team bracket features teams all across the United States. The Demon Hawks play the Aztecs in the first round at 8:30P. Buccaneer Arena will host all the matches. Full schedule below:
