The Greene County Cattlemen’s Association scholarship application deadline is coming up soon.

President Justin Robbins reminds everyone that a recent change to who is eligible to apply for their scholarships went from students going into an agricultural career or their parents or a relative had to be a Cattlemen’s Association member, to literally anyone can apply.

“We need people going into several avenues of life to support an agricultural-based community. We need dentists, we need doctors, we need librarians, we need first responders, we need everybody. We’re in a pretty high accident proned industry. I want to know that I have a nurse that will fix me when I get beat up by a cow and have to go to the ER. So we’ve taken all those guidelines off, everyone in Greene County can fill out an application.”

Robbins thanks everyone who contributes with donations during their annual banquet and trophy auction as the main source of funding for their scholarships. The deadline to submit an application is April 2nd and the minimum amount per scholarship is $500. A copy of the application can be found below and must be returned via email or mailed, which can be found on the application form below.
