Greene County Medical Center recently announced an annual award that exemplifies what the medical center is all about.

According to the medical center, Julia Glawe won the 2024 Van Zelderen Excellence Award. Nominations for the award are submitted by other medical center team members who they believe embodies GCMC’s PRIDE values that stands for Patient-Centered Care, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Empathy. The ten year veteran of the medical center works in the Human Resources Department. Other individuals that were nominated include Abby Skoglund and Jennifer Carlisle in Acute Care, Sarah Hoffman with the Family Medicine Clinic and Veronica Silva in Human Resources.

The medical center also honored 31 team members with service milestone awards. Twenty-one were recognized for five years, two with ten years, along with one for 15 years, two for each 20 and 25 years, one for 30 years, Denise Promes was honored for 35 years and Carol Pope has served for 45 years.
