The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session April 1st.

The Board will consider for approval fiscal year 2026 health insurance renewal after speaking with Iowa Governmental Health Care representative Denise Ballard, then consider for approval changes to the Guthrie County Employee Handbook, which include call out/overtime pay, bereavement leave, sick leave and personal leave. They will also review a draft of an ordinance providing for animal protection and control, then set a date for the first reading of said ordinance, and the publication of the title for the ordinance.

The Board will then accept the resignation of Bill McDermott from the Guthrie County Board of Health, and appoint a member to the Board of Health before entering into a fiscal year 2026 budget session. The meeting will begin at 9am in the Board of Supervisors room in the Guthrie County Courthouse. For those unable to attend in person, there is a digital option available via Microsoft Teams.
