The Greene County High School girls’ golf team isn’t big on numbers, but Coach Kirk Telleen has four returning letter winners. Some seasons, four total golfers have been the extent of the squad.

Senior Maggie Mikkelson, plus juniors Alivia Cornell, Taylor Johnston, and Maya Telleen, are the returning letter winners and they are expected to lead the Rams in 2025. None of the girls on the Greene County golf team have extensive experience in the sport, but the four experienced golfers are entering at least their third season playing for the Rams.

Coach Telleen has seen clear improvement from those four in the past and expects to see them take additional strides this season. The season is set to begin on Monday, April 7 at The Hill golf course near Grand Junction vs. Carroll High at 4 p.m.
