With the spring season here, the City of Adel is giving residents an opportunity to put out items to find new homes this weekend.

According to City Clerk Carrie Erickson, the City-Wide Garage Sale is for people to shop for different materials and things they may need. She confirms that Saturday is the date the city has put on the calendar, but that people may start as early as Thursday, but all garage sales must end by Sunday. Erickson acknowledges that people can still submit their addresses if they want to be apart of the garage sale, and that they will be posted on the City’s Facebook page. 

However, she mentions that those addresses won’t be apart of the paper copies, as the deadline for that has passed. Erickson adds that It’s important to keep in mind that the City-Wide Garage Sale will feature more foot traffic than normal, and that drivers should pay attention and abide by road signs such as “No parking” and be aware of more people out and about.
