On Monday night, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs soccer teams officially kicked off their season against a very worth opponent, the Johnston Dragons. Both match ups would go down to the wire, as the Mustang girls would end in a draw against the Dragons 1-1, while the Mustang boys would battle back but just fall short to Johnston 3-2.

This is the only game of the week for the Dallas Center-Grimes boys, who return to action on Tuesday at Norwalk for battle against the Warriors. The Mustang girls look at a busy weekend, as they travel to Ankeny Centennial High School for the Ankeny and Centennial Crosstown Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Mustang girls face off against Waukee Northwest on Friday night, then Ankeny Centennial on Saturday morning.
