The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County recently presented the check for their first quarter donation of 2025.

The non-profit organization heard presentations for the Tori’s Angels Foundation, Children’s Clothes Closet (3C’s), and the St. Thomas More Center. Once votes were tallied after the presentations, it was announced that 3C’s would be receiving a lump sum amount of $14,200. According to the 10 Squared Women, in its 23 years, 3C’s has become a vital resource for providing free clothing to those in need.

The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County explains the financial and in-kind donations of items allow 3C’s to provide new or gently used clothing like socks, mittens, backpacks, winter blankets and much more to families in Guthrie, Greene, Audubon, Adair and Dallas Counties. Mary Hamilton, 3C’s Organizer, says that just in 2024 the group assisted 1,014 children, with over 285 family visits. The 10 Squared Women of Guthire County presented the donation to 3C’s on April 1st.

Kristen Crouthamel, member of 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County, says that since their organization’s inception in 2017, they have donated $386,550 to groups and projects around the county. The philanthropic group will next meet on May 27th at Twin Vines in Panora.
