Owen Myers is gearing up for his final track season for Perry. The standout senior has already qualified for the State Tournament the previous two years in the 400M Hurdles. In his final year, he wants to improve upon his finishes and wants an invite to the prestigious Drake Relays. “Drake and hopefully I can place at State. Qualify in a couple more events not just the 400M Hurdles.” Myers will also be running multiple legs in different relays. He is hopeful him and some of his teammates will be fast enough to qualify for State in those events. Drake Relays are set to start April 24 in Des Moines and Districts are scheduled for May 15.
The Bluejays are still waiting for their first meet. Earlier this week the weather canceled the Earlham Early Bird, where Perry was set to make their debut. The Bluejays are scheduled to be in Gilbert on Tuesday, April 8.
