
Last night, the Panorama Panthers and West Central Valley Wildcats soccer teams battled it out at West Central Valley High School. Both teams would pick up a victory, as the Panther girls would defeat the Wildcats 7-2. The West Central Valley boys would avenge the girls, defeating the Panther boys 7-0.
In the girls contest, the action would occur right out of the gate as both teams would score in the 5th minute of the match with Speichinger scoring for the Wildcats. Panorama would then score 3 more goals in the first half, in the 22nd, 38th and 39th minute. This momentum would continue for the Panthers, as they would score again in the 66th 67th and 71st minute in the second half. Junior Maren Hoffman would score the second goal for the Wildcats in the 80th minute for a final score of 2-7 in favor of the Panthers.
In the boys contest, the Wildcats would shine from the start, as Trajan Rummel would score 4 goals and Alan Diaz would score two. Rummel would accomplish the hat trick in the first half, scoring goals in the 14th, 25th and 33rd minute. Garret Wolfe would score in the 29th minute, with Diaz scoring his first goal to wrap up the first half in the 34th minute bringing the score to 5-0. Diaz and Rummel would score again in the second half, as Diaz would score in the 50th minute, with Rummel to follow in the 56th minute bringing the final score to 7-0 in favor of the Wildcats.
The Wildcat girls fall to 0-2 while the boys advance to 2-0. The Panther girls advance to 1-2 so far this season, while the boys fall to 1-2.
