The East Sac County Coed Relays were held on Friday in Sac City and the girls and boys from Paton-Churdan took part. The boys placed seventh among 11 teams with 42 points and the girls were last with two points among 11 squads.

Sophomore Trevon Keely scored 32 points for the P-C boys. Keely won the 200 meter dash in 23.58 seconds. He was second in the 100 meters in 11.86 seconds, just one one-hundredth of a second off the lead, and was the runner-up in the high jump at 6′ 5″. He finished third in the long jump at 18′ 9-1/2″.

The other 10 points scored by the P-C boys were from a fifth place finish in the distance medley relay in 4:22.22, a sixth in the 4 x 200 meter relay in 1:45.54, and a pair of eighth place relay finishes. The 4 x 100 meter relay ran 50.73 seconds and the sprint medley relay was timed in 1:48.50.

The girls had a pair of eighth place finishes for their two points. Alivya Smith threw the discus 84 feet even, and the sprint medley relay was clocked in 2:32.68.
