The Greene County High School boys’ soccer team plays just once this week atfer the first week of the season saw the Rams play three times, going 2-1. Head coach Chad Black in the preseason told Raccoon Valley Radio he did not expect this team to have one dominant scorer like Greene County has had in recent seasons. Instead, the coach had hopes of having five or six players capable of 10 or more goals.

So far, the plan is working as six different Rams have scored goals in those first three games, and the lone loss was via shutout, meaning when the Rams score, multiple players do so. Leading the team with f0ur goals is junior Franklin Regalado. Junior Fredy Aguilar has three goals with two from sophomore Lincoln Schwander. Juniors Teagan Chisholm and Carter Hinote, along with sophomore Ethan Carstens each have one goal. Carstens is the assist leader with four, while Chisholm has assisted on two goals and Aguilar on one.

The Greene County boys host Carroll High in their next match, which is Thursday at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The action can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with kickoff set for 7:15 p.m.
