The winter swim season has come to a close for those Perry swimmers.  The Perry Area Winter Swim Team finished the year with a 7th place finish at Midwest Regional Swim Meet hosted by the University on Minnesota in Minneapolis.  Perry brought 36 swimmers ranging from grade school to high school age.  PAWS was classified in the big division were they claimed 5th place and 7th in the entire competition.

Coach Stein stated that he is so proud of this team and has been so impressed with the stroke development and events that were swam.

State Qualifier during the fall high school season, Aleah Karolus had a strong performance.  She finished third in the 50 Free, fifth in the 100 Free, sixth in the 200 Free, and won the 500 Free.  One of her high school teammates, Ellie Hughes, added a seventh place finish in the 500 Free.  Perry swimming looks to be poised for another strong year when the high school season begins next fall
