Carter Hinote

Greene County and Carroll High played boys’ golf at the Carroll Municipal Course on Monday with the Tigers winning the varsity contest by a score of 165-166. Coach Kyle Kinne reports junior Carter Hinote was meet medalist for the nine holes with a 39. Other Rams that had their scores count in the team total were junior Nathan Towers at 41, freshman Keaton Hinote 42, and senior Noah Hinote 44. Carter and Noah are brothers, and Keaton is their first cousin.

Originally, Carroll did not add the scores correctly and the Rams were announced as the winning team. Greene County noticed the error and the correction was made.

This was the first dual meet of the season for the Rams. They finished seventh in a nine team tournament in Des Moines last Friday hosted by Saydel.
