
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Track and Field Teams came out victorious on Tuesday, winning their home meet.
ADM hosted the Hugh Norman Coed Relays as they welcomed Des Moines Christian, Van Meter, Winterset, Dallas Center-Grimes, Nevada, and Clarke Community to Adel. The Tigers girls won the meet with 193 points, while the boys racked up 178 points.
Individual accomplishments for the girls included Jada Grove winning the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.95, Isabelle Book (27.86) placed second in the 200 meter dash, Brecken Morse (1:03.04) led the way in the 400 meters, Evelyn Horgen (12:18.72) marked third in the 3000 meter run, and Elise Coghlan (15.45) won the 100 meter hurdles relay.
The girls relays saw the 4×100 meter shuttle hurdles, 4×200 meter relay, and the 4×800 relay all grab first place. In the field events, London Warmuth won the high jump at five feet and four inches, Aniston Tollari was in first with 16 feet and four inches in the long jump, while Kennedy Stanford (37-05.50) notched the top spot in the shot put and it was Taylor Braun (109-03) in second for the discus.
On the boys side, ADM’s Zane Johnson (11.15) and Grant Engleman (11.17) were second and third in the 100 meter dash, with Johnson winning the 200 meters at 22.58, Cameron Forgy (51.26) led the way in the 400 meter dash, and it was Max Marple finishing in second for the 3200 meter run at 10:25.66.
The relays for the Tigers witnessed the 4×200 and the 800 meter sprint medley relay garnered first place finishes. In the field events, Will Grasty and Kyler Chapman tied for first in the high jump with a distance of six feet and two inches, Corbin Reed (20-09) was second in the long jump, Nick Subbert three 132 feet and nine inches in the discus, and Caleb Oberhoffer (46-05.50) got third in the shot put.
ADM is back in action today as the girls are competing at the Northwest Relays in Waukee at 4pm, while the boys will travel to Van Meter this afternoon at 4:30pm. For the full results, click here.
