Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be hosting a craft class this coming Wednesday.

Program Director Shelby Van Horn says that they will be having Art on the Fly at the Extension Office in Guthrie Center to lead a workshop on making scented candles and macrame coasters April 16th from 6-9pm. She mentions that individuals will learn how to mix and pair fragrances for the candles, and create one with their favorite scent. While the candles are curing, participants will also learn two different macrame knots to create a coaster, and can choose to add an inspirational label. Van Horn adds that the class is $40, which covers materials, and for each additional candle that someone would like to make, it will be an additional $20.
