
The golf season began on Tuesday night for Perry. The Jayettes were in Ballard as they came in 4th of four teams. Norwalk won easily shooting a team 172. Second place went to Bondurant-Farrar with a 210. The host Ballard shot 221 while Perry finished with a 251.
Kalley Whelchel shot a Perry low 55. Her older sister, Karagyn Whelchel, was one shot back with a 56. Golf newcomer, Ellie Hughes, rounded out the top three for the Jayettes with a 69.
The girls return to action tonight in Grand Junction. The Hill will host Perry, Greene County, Des Moines Christian, Roland-Story, and Gilbert at 4P.
The Bluejays will open their season tonight. Coach Enderton’s squad will be at the Perry Golf & Country Club this evening. Greene County and Des Moines Christian will matchup in the opening meet at 4P.
