A maintenance plan for the weight room at Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School was discussed and approved at the March School Board meeting.
Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that a group of Booster Club members, School Board members and administrators came together to discuss how to keep the weight room in good condition, both the section meant just for students, and the section that is open to the public. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio what was talked about.
“What the group has determined is that we just need to create a budget based upon whenever people sign up for the weight room membership, they pay $150 and maybe $50 of that can go towards maintaining the equipment, which would include hiring a company to come in and (perform) maintenance (on) that.”
Rasmussen mentions that they would have the company chosen for the equipment maintenance come in a set number of times throughout the year, to keep everything in good working order, and let administrators know when different gear may need to be addressed or replaced.
