Heath Telleen’s Greene County High School girls’ golf team defeated Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) at The Hill west of Grand Junction on Friday by a 200-203 score. Junior Maya Telleen was meet medalist with a nine hole round of 45 followed by junior Taylor Johnston at 48, senior Maggie Mikkelsen with a 52, and senior Chanlyn Cunningham at 58. Giana Lujano with a round of 46 for the Knights was runner-up medalist.

Wins vs. Kuemper Catholic have not been all that plentiful and Coach Telleen was pleased with how the Rams played. Not having a lot of wind to contend with may have been a factor in keeping the scores down.
