
Perry track spent Thursday night at Hawk Stadium in Woodward. The evening saw both squads finish in the middle of the pack. The Jayettes claimed 4th out of six schools while the Bluejays finished 5th out of eight. The host Hawks won the girls meet with 156 team points edging out PCM, who had 147. The boy’s side saw PCM in first with 127 points followed by Woodward-Granger with 94.
Renzo Saenz won gold in the 100M (11.33) while the Bluejays also fielded the first place team in the 4X200M Relay (1:35.52). Owen Myers took the top spot in the 400M Hurdles (57.57) plus Perry had the best 4×110 Meter Shuttle Hurdle Relay time (1:09.70). Freshman, Ivan Willett, edged out three other runners in the 3200M (11:28.61).
The Jayettes had two of the tree top times in the 1500M. Lily Myers first (5:28.30) and Harper Peterson third (5:56.05). Cynthia Aguirre added a second place finish in the 400M Hurdles (1:15.47). The Perry girls also fielded second place teams in the 1600 Medley Relay (4:41.56) and 800 Medley Relay (1:58.95).
Perry returns to action Monday for a coed meet in Carroll.
