A member of the Perry Chamber of Commerce is stepping away from her position following more than two decades of service.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti outlines that Julie Scheib is retiring after spending 26 years as the Administrative Assistant. She expresses her gratitude for Scheib’s commitment to the chamber and also being willing to jump into any situation without hesitation. Pasutti honored Scheib during the Chamber’s Annual Dinner on April 1st.
“She’s been the backbone of the chamber. That institutional memory of just longevity alone, and so (it will) be the end of an era. Things like that just deserve being celebrated, so just really excited for her and her retirement and this new chapter, and just really proud of what we’ve accomplished as a chamber.”
Scheib tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she felt humbled to be recognized by Pasutti.
“Oh, that was so nice. So very touching and nice and she’s the best. I’m just so grateful that I had the time there. It’s a very, very interesting place to work. I have had the pleasure of working with five directors, all with very different styles.”
Scheib reveals that while working at the chamber, her favorite event was the annual Bike Ride to Rippey because she got the opportunity to meet so many people that became her friends after she saw them year after year. She served with the chamber from 1998 to 2024.
