The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Golf Team will tee off into action today as they will host the first meet of the 2025 season.
ADM will welcome in Winterset and Carlisle to Adel for a Boys Golf Triangular, as they look to defend their title from last year. The Tigers were named the 2024 Class 3A Champions after beating runner up Waverly-Shell Rock. ADM lost four seniors from that team, but Head Coach Nolan Gitch is excited to get the athletes in a meet setting.
“I’m really looking forward to watching our kids compete, and I know Winterset always brings a good squad up and so will Carlisle. It’s usually a good competitive first meet in that triangular that we always play in. And I would really more look for what our kids are doing and focus on ourselves and watching us compete, and just knowing that from practices, they have to compete with each other to finally go compete against another team and actually be a little more unified when it comes to the team side of the sport.”
Gitch acknowledges that seniors Carter Madison and Grant Jansen will bring a lot of experience and leadership to the Tigers this year. The meet is happening at the River Valley Golf Course in Adel this afternoon at 4pm.
