The Perry Chamber of Commerce will be holding their next event to raise money for the 2025 4th of July Fireworks Drive.

Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti highlights the goal for the fireworks display is $18,000 and reveals that money garnered from the Big Boom Bracket Battle and Centerpiece Auction at the Annual Dinner, the total amount is sitting at $7,100. She describes that through the first three years of the Radio Pie Auction, the average amount of money brought in has been between $6,000 and $11,000. Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that 20 bakers will participate in making pies this year, as she names the new individuals involved.

“We’ve got Berkley Rowe helping out her mom with Rowe With the Dough, Progressive Foundry is donating a couple of pies this year, so they have a pie baking team and so there’s some pies coming in from there. Emma Olejniczak with Perry High School Softball is putting something together and then City State Bank is putting something together.”

The event will begin at 8am on Wednesday, broadcasting live on KDLS 94.3/99.7 FM and 1310 AM with Raccoon Valley Radio’s Shawn Kenney and Auctioneer Tom Burkgren doing the bidding on pies. Pasutti shares that the auction will also be live streamed on the chamber’s Facebook page for those who’d like to watch.
