Perry boys soccer is hosting Winterset tonight. The Bluejays will play at Dewey Field for the first time in 2025. Perry hasn’t won a match since their first time taking the pitch. The Bluejays have suffered two losses and two ties in their last four outings. Their overall record sits at 1-2-2 ahead of tonight’s tilt with the Huskies from Winterset.
Winterset is below .500 to open the 2025 season. Coach Overla tells Raccoon Valley Radio the two squads share one common opponent so far, North Polk. The Bluejays tied with the Comets while the Huskies suffered a 2-1 loss. The Bluejay manager added he expects a good game. “They’re going to come in and be a pretty decent team. We’ve been able to beat them in the past few years but you know they’re never a team that rolls over and just goes away.” Perry has dominated the series with Winterset over the years. The Bluejays have won 11 of the last 12 match ups.
Dewey Field will play host to Perry and Winterset tonight at 7P.
