Monday was a great night for the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Golf Teams as each squad was able to pick up wins.
The ADM Girls played their third game of the season, totaling 203 strokes to beat out Winterset and Carlisle, while the boys opened up the season with 151 strokes defeating the same opponents. For the girls, seniors Hattie Lande and Annelise Kreifels shot 48 for first and second place, then it was senior Mackenzie Lathrop in fourth with 51 strokes followed by seniors Sara Carolan (56) and Kelli Storck (57) placing sixth and seventh respectively.
In the opening meet for the boys, senior Grant Jansen came out on top with 36 strokes, then it was senior Carter Madison who also had 36 strokes as the runner up. Junior Brayden Lucht had 38 strokes in third place, then the Tigers had five other players occupy the fifth through ninth positions, with Cade Fisher (40), Roen Lenz (40), Trey Lee (41), Ty Lovejoy (41) and Shadd Livingston (42).
The ADM Girls improve to 2-1 on the season, while the boys start off at 1-0. The Tiger girls will be back in Adel on Thursday to host Woodward-Granger, while the boys will be in Woodward the same night for a Golf Invite versus eight other schools.
