
Perry boy’s soccer hosted Winterset last night. In their debut at Dewey Field, Perry picked up the win, 4-0. The victory ended a four match stretch of not winning. The Bluejays continue their dominance over former Raccoon River Conference mate, Winterset, winning 12 of the last 13 matches.
Perry built a 2-0 lead at half. Jacobo Cerna-Gomez started the scoring in the 9th minute. Freshman, George Krohn, scored his first varsity goal in the 20th minute. Cerna-Gomez ended the night with the hat trick as coach Overla’s squad kept their foot on the gas in the 4-0 victory.
The Bluejays improve to 2-2-2. Heart of Iowa Conference play begins tomorrow with a trip to Prairie City-Monroe.
