A Coon Rapids man was recently arrested on felony charges for a March incident in Jefferson.
According to court documents, 45-year-old James Poole won a $4,292 jackpot from a slot machine at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson on March 22nd. However, another person that was with Poole and sat next to him, took Poole’s seat when he left after winning the jackpot. Court documents show that the other person filled out a W-9 form to claim the winnings.
The criminal complaint states that the other person had claimed that they were both playing it, but video surveillance showed that Poole was the only one playing when he won the jackpot. An arrest warrant was issued on March 26th and Poole was arrested on April 16th. He was booked and released from the Greene County Jail after posting a $10,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
