A Perry man was recently taken into custody after allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a minor in 2024.

According to court documents, 19-year-old Melver Noel Mendez Rodriguez was issued a no-contact order and was brought in by law enforcement for questioning about an alleged sexual abuse case involving an underage female. The criminal complaint states that Mendez Rodriguez admitted that he knew the victim was a minor but continued to perform sex acts with her on three separate occasions this past November. 

Mendez Rodriguez has since been charged with three Count B Felonies of sexual abuse in the second degree and is being held in the Dallas County Jail on a $75,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
