
Yesterday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs battled the wind on the golf course as the Mustangs girls golf team traveled to Newton for the Little Hawkeye Conference Invitational Meet 2. The Mustangs would battle hard, and placed 5th place with a team score of 411 strokes, defeating Oskaloosa in the process.
Junior Joey Moberg and sophomore Greer Kleis currently lead the Mustang girls in 18 hole play, with Moberg having the lowest score on the Mustang squad with 88 strokes. Kleis is just two stokes behind with 90 strokes with sophomores Madison Holste and Samantha Kramer follow with 95 and 96 strokes respectively.
The Mustang girls golf team return to action today as Dallas Center-Grimes travels to Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames for the Turk Bowman Invite. The action is set to begin at 10am.
