Paton-Churdan sophomore Trevin Keely was a guest on the April 28 PM Sports Magazine KG98 Edition. A standout athlete in the sports of football, basketball, and track & field, he was one of 24 qualifiers last week in the high jump at the Drake Relays in Des Moines. Keely tied for ninth by clearing the bar at six feet, four inches. He’s gone as high as 6′ 7″ this season, both indoors and just last week outside.

Keely was asked about jumping with athletes from bigger schools, and in some cases, much bigger schools, than Paton-Churdan. “I love competition and it was nice to see all the talent. It was a bunch of different guys and I got to meet new people. I also saw some new techniques I hadn’t seen. It was the best of the best there and it was really nice to see that.”

The Rockets and the Greene County Rams will be in two of the same meets this week. Both will be in Audubon today and in Guthrie Center on Thursday for the ACGC meet. Both events are coed.
