Perry soccer returns to action tonight with a date with Greene County.  The Jayettes and Bluejays had their matches last night with Nevada postponed to this Friday.  The Perry girls travel to Jefferson for their first contest of the week following yesterday’s rescheduling.  The boys welcome Greene County to Perry a game that can be heard on KDLS.

The Jayettes take on a winless Ram squad.  Perry is 3-0-2 in their last 5 contests as Coach Hernandez’s team is playing some of their best soccer.  The Jayettes have dominated this series winning the last 6 match ups.  Perry is coming off a 6-0 victory over Central Iowa United while Greene County fell to that same team 4-1.

The Bluejays had an earlier season match overturned against Des Moines Hoover and now sit at 5-1-3.  A battle of two 5 win teams will take place at Dewey Field as Greene County enters at 5-1.  Both teams sit at 2-0 in the Heart of Iowa Conference.  Each squad has their own uber talented junior.  The Rams rely on Franklin Regalado, who has scored 11 goals in 6 matches.  Jacobo Cerna- Gomez has found the back of the net 13 times for Perry in their first 9 contests.

The girls kickoff at 5:30P in Jefferson and the boys in Perry at 7P a game you can hear on 94.3, 99.7, and AM 1310 KDLS.
