A professional artist in Jefferson is starting up a new class soon and opening a new exhibit.

Chad Elliott with Elliott Art Studio is hosting the first-ever art class this Friday that is an “Acrylic Painting Class: Washes and Textures” from 2-4pm. Participants will get to learn from Elliott a few of his favorite acrylic painting techniques and adults and teenagers of all skill levels are welcomed to attend. Elliott is also hosting the first art gallery exhibition since opening Elliott Art Studio with his latest work called, “Rhythm” starting May 1st. He says the gallery was inspired by dance and it features new acrylic paintings on canvas that are done in various styles that are all centered around the theme of movement and rhythm. The gallery will be on display May 1st-29th and there will be a special reception tomorrow evening from 6-8pm. If people are interested in seeing the collection and can’t make it tomorrow night to the reception, they can schedule an appointment to view it while it is on display.
