With the Cinco De Mayo holiday on Monday, the Adel Public Library will have a program coinciding with that.

According to Programming Specialist Lily Schwarz, the library is welcoming children in preschool through fourth grade, along with their parents/guardians, for a special family story time. She illustrates that the program will give participants an opportunity to learn more about the holiday and how it’s celebrated in Mexican culture. Schwarz notes that guests will create a special craft in relation to Cinco De Mayo as well as getting to taste-test some Mexican candy and age-appropriate beverages.

She describes that supplies are on a first come, first serve basis and that children do not need to register beforehand. The story time is taking place inside the library community room on Monday from 4:30-5:30pm. Any questions can be directed to the Adel Public Library at (515)-993-3512.
