Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is ready for their library programs in the month of May.

Program Director Shelby Van Horn says that they have several programs scheduled, and as always have a new specialized theme for those that they are doing this month. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what they will be working with the kids on.

“And our theme for all the library programs this month is ‘Sensational Seeds.’ So we’ll be talking about different seeds and start growing some seeds with the youth.”

Van Horn mentions that the first of this line of events will be at the Stuart Public Library on May 5th from 4-5pm, with the second one at the Bayard Public Library on May 14th from 2:30-3:30pm. She adds that they will also hold these library programs at the Jamaica Public Library on May 15th, the Casey Public Library on May 21st and at the Panora Public Library on May 22nd, all from 4-5pm.
