
On Tuesday, the West Central Valley Wildcats soccer teams battled against the Des Moines Christian Lions. The boys contest would be a defensive battle, as neither team would be able to strike, resulting in a 0-0 draw. The Wildcat girls would battle hard, but unfortunately would fall to the Lions 2-0.
The boys contest between the Wildcats and the Lions would be a defensive showcase, as the Wildcats would only have one shot saved by the Lions keeper. In the girls contest, the Wildcats would battle and have four shots saved by the opposing keeper but would fall 2-0 as the Lions would score in the second half.
The Wildcat girls still have two more games this week as they face off against the Knoxville Panthers tonight at home and the Lamoni Demons tomorrow in Lamoni. Action tonight at home for the Wildcat girls is set to begin at 5:30pm.
